We totally understand that owning a dog with behavioral issues is never easy and can be a huge stress for not only the dog, but for you and your family. Often it does take professional training to get on top of these issues but finding the right professional can be hard. We are huge about setting honest and realistic expectations, helping you understand your dog's genetic dispositions and being fair as to how much can be expected from your dog as every single dog is different. We are not here to offer you a quick fix, or to try to make your dog into something they’re not. We are here to help you and your dog thrive and find a more harmonious way of living together & within society. We are passionate about respecting who your dog is genetically, fulfilling and channeling those genetics to bringing the best out of your dog and helping them find purpose and peace.
Board & Train
The way Board and Train works is that your dog(s) stay with us for a minimum of 3 weeks*. In this time they live and breath training, structure, and pack socialization.
Our 3-week program: Designed for dogs with more minor behavioral issues. Like pulling on-leash, jumping on people, nuisance barking, hyperactive behavior, door rushing, etc. This program includes off-leash reliability for all of the basic commands – down/stay, place, heel, come/recall – as well as crate training, and waiting at thresholds etc.
Our 4, 5, and 6-week program: Includes all of the above off-leash obedience but are also focused on resolving more serious behavioral issues. In these programs, we address all forms of unwanted behavior, including, but not limited to:
- Dog-to-dog aggression
- Human aggression
- Food and/or resource guarding
- Separation anxiety
- Severe Fear Issues
- Reactivity on-leash

What is next?
Before we book anything in, we always like to put a name to the face and meet in person at our HQ in Whenuapai. This allows us to really understand what it is you are wanting to work on with your dog, as well as for us to assess your dog and set some realistic expectations. We will then make a plan in regards to how we proceed and go from there.
Assessments are a one-off $250. There are two stages to this assessment.
Stage 1: A written assessment and questionnaire that you must fill out virtually.
Stage 2: A three-part in-person assessment done at our HQ.
- Part 1: Human and dog sociability assessment
- Part 2: Motivation assessment
- Part 3: Environmental assessment
(Please note all in-person assessments are recorded, and we review the recordings again prior to your dog coming in for training as a refresher, in case anything was missed during the in-person assessment.)
(Board and Train programs are $175 per day, which includes $1360+ worth of 1-on-1 sessions and equipment.
3 weeks = $3675, 4 weeks = $4900, 5 weeks = $6125, 6 weeks = $7350)
We offer a discount for programs longer than 6 weeks on a case by case basis.
