Often owners feel lost and just don’t know where to start. Consults are a great way to fine tune training and to really clean up your dogs behaviors and obedience. In the consults we work with you to create a plan to achieve your specific goal with your dog. In the first session we will assess your dog, have a chat about where you want to get to with your dogs training and then make a plan as to how we will work towards achieving that.
As always, we are not here to give you quick fixes, we will always be honest, set realistic expectations, and help you to achieve success.
Private Consults
Each session we will focus on one or two things at a time and build on that week to week. Think of consults as like having a personal trainer, we are just one piece of the puzzle, but you have to continue to commit to the process and implement it even outside of the sessions.
We start with blocks of 5 sessions, normally these run for around 1.5 hours. The first few sessions are done at our HQ in Whenuapai and then we assess where things stand as every dog is different (Consults don’t include training equipment, so if any is required, that would need to be purchased additionally or alternatively have a look at our Board & Train or Recall Programs as they are more indepth and inclusive packages).
Sessions are $200 per session but we sell them in packages of 5 - $1000 plus you get a free mendota slip leash worth $40!
What's next?
Before we kick off we start with an assessment.
Assessments are a one-off $250. There are two stages to this assessment.
Stage 1: A written assessment and questionnaire that you must fill out virtually.
Stage 2: A three-part in-person assessment done at our HQ.
- Part 1: Human and dog sociability assessment
- Part 2: Motivation assessment
- Part 3: Environmental assessment
(Please note all in-person assessments are recorded, and we review the recordings again prior to your dog coming in for training as a refresher, in case anything was missed during the in-person assessment.)
